back and easy as sipping a mint julep on the front porch of an old plantation house or as fast and frantic as night life in the big city.
Life is old here where antebellum homes are filled with new generations that continue to grow and thrive... where ancient streams and country roads intersect with interstate highways...

Free Georgia Drivers License For Veterans by Jake Robins
"The law also applies to active duty military and the license can be made valid until age 65. In special cases dependents may also be eligible..."
"More than 75 percent of the veterans living in Georgia served during times of conflict and the vast majority of them are eligible to receive a free driver’s license."Pete Wheeler Georgia Commissioner of Veterans Affairs
Georgia residents, who served on active military duty during wartime, or any conflict when personnel were committed by the President, are probably eligible to receive a free Georgia driver’s license. This includes veterans who served in National Guard and Reserve units during these times.
"You did not have to be assigned to a unit that directly participated in the war or conflict to be eligible for the free license," according to Pete Wheeler, Georgia's Commissioner of Veterans Affairs, "a veteran could have served during Desert Storm in a stateside assignment and still be eligible for the free license.” (see chart below)
